Abstract

The incinerator has a combustion chamber loaded using a chamber, controlled by pair of sliding plates, so that a fixed quantity of refuse loaded. The reflux falls on to the grate. the fine ash falls on to the grate. fine ash falls through the grate and is collected in the ash pit, the ashes being fed to the pit by means of a screw conveyor. The grate consists of anumber of bars mounted on parallel shafts. The number of bars may be varied according to the type refuse being burnt. Each bar may be rotated so that successive bar rotation moves the ashes along the inclined grate to the ash pit.
