Abstract

The clip connector, for connecting a cable to a battery's terminal, consists of a metal C-piece (2) with projecting parallel ends. The ends have holes (3) for a bolt that draws the C tightly around the battery's terminal. The C has a cable clamping arrangement formed in one piece with it and projecting in a dog-leg from its outside surface. The clamping arrangement consists of two omega-shaped pieces (9) with bolt holes in their flaps for the two bolts that clamp the two halves to the cable. The clip connector is made of pressed iron coated electrolytically, and thereby avoids the problems inherent with lead (Pb) connectors.
