Abstract

951,712. Clamp fastenings. M. BINDER. Sept. 18, 1962 [May 19, 1962], No. 19391/62. Heading E2B. A pipe clip comprises a pair of wire members 1 shaped to fit snugly against a pipe and each to extend nearly half-way round the pipe periphery, whereby together the wire members substantially encircle the pipe, a hooked 5 connector engaged with and extending between adjacent ends of the pair of wire members on one side of the pipe and means 7 on adjacent portions of the wire members at the opposite side of the pipe to secure clamping means 9, 10 in order to secure the wire members together gripping the pipe. As shown each wire member is an endless loop. In a modification of the construction shown the hooked portions of the connector are extended to form apertured lugs which can receive a nut and bolt for suspending one clip below another. In a further modification the end portions 3 of each wire loop are extended so that more than one nut and bolt can be passed through them.
