Abstract

The case is made from plastic and has vertical sides and ends with stiffeners and top flange. The base has a number of raised areas spaced equal distances from the central base section, these areas forming compartments receiving the necks of the first layer of bottles whose bodies locate between straight vertical ribs. The bodies of the second layer are supported on the raised areas with their necks fitting between the first layer, without touching. Further layers are made and, if required bottles can be stored on end in the central section, each neck fitting in a separate circular depression. The base and two lateral walls of the case have inwards projecting areas equal in thickness to half a bottle diameter.
