Abstract

In front of the toe support (11) on the ski (2) is a bearing (3) mounted transversely. This carries a pivot (13) having the safety stop, in the form of a lever (1), on one end. This is permanently spring biased in the down position and has a flexible cable (5) attached to its upper end (6). The other end of the cable (7) has an adjuster (12) fitting in an arm (8) pivoting (15) on the ski just behind the toe support. When this is pressed down by a pedal (4, 14), under pressure from the boot sole, the stop lever is raised out of use. Releasing the pressure causes automatic projection of the stop lever.
