Abstract

Beneath the ski rear binding (14) is a bearing carrying a shaft (3). On one end of this is mounted a lever (1) having a cranked arm (5, 6) projecting downwards. On the other side of the shaft (3) is a short pedal arm (13). In the released position, the rear binding (14) is held up by a leaf spring (22) and the arm (5, 6) is held down by a torsion spring, its travel being limited by a stop (12) butting against the top face (4) of the ski (2). In use, the foot presses down the binding (14) and the lever arm (13) and this raises the cranked lever (1). A stop pin (18) limits movement.
