Abstract

A vertical serpentine coil made from lengths of square section tube (6) welded together has long horizontal legs and short vertical legs. This coil is enclosed between side sheets (10) which are double flanged, and made of interlocking portions so that air circulation channels (15) are formed each side of the coil, the air entering at the bottom, and leaving through a gap (17) under a top sheet (16), to travel out sideways (F2). The inner faces have flaps (13, 14) punched from them, sloping upwards and downwards away from the coil, so that the circulating air is directed through a set of slots adjacent the coil, to travel to and fro across the horizontal legs of the coil. This air is heated by hot water passing through the coil.
