Abstract

The modulator-demodulator has a first voltage-frequency convertor whose input is connected to the input of the modulator-demodulator, as well as a second voltage frequency convertor and a feedback loop. The feedback loop applies a voltage to the second convertor such that the frequencies of the two convertors tend to be equal, the voltage applied to the second convertor forming the output voltage of the demodulator. The feedback loop is a phase loop and it includes a phase comparator having two companion inputs connected respectively to the outputs of the two voltage-frequency convertors, the comparator output being coupled to the input of the second convertor.
