Abstract

The device has a high resistance wire (b) fixed to a support (h) by a mounting point (x). When the wire passes a current it increases in length and allows an insulation element (1) to move. The wire is held at a constant tension by a spring (d) fixed to the support at a mounting point (z). This system moves a conductor (e) fixed at its lower point to the support. The upper end of the conductor (e) engages adjustable contacts (f, f') and the wire (b) is connected to a current source by contacts (g, g'). The device may be used as a logic relay or combined for memory unit formation etc.
