Abstract

The veneer drying machine has a stage in which a heating plate is raised and lowered several times during a drying period, as in the main patent, so as to suit the type of wood used. It employs a heating plate, which instead of being made from sheet steel, resulting in a heavy construction, is made in sections arranged side by side. Each section is made from adjacent square or round section tubes inside which the heating fluid circulated. The method of construction is also cheaper, and the vapours are released through the spaces between the tubes; the distortion due to uneven heat distribution is eliminated.
