Abstract

The container to be unloaded (18) is placed on a base (3) so that the container is the correct way up. The belt mechanism (4) pivots around the fulcrum (2), so as to cover the container. In the loading position the base (3) is on the ground and the belt mechanism (4) covers the container (18). To unload the container, the belt and base are pivotally inverted so that the belt mechanism is adjacent to the discharge table (5). The container is pivotally returned to its upright position so the material in the container is left on the belt. The container, now being empty, may receive a further load and the material deposited on the belt is passed to the discharge table.
