Abstract

The cabinet body is fabricated from painted sheet steel. The worktop (4, 5) is made from chipboard and has a melamine (RTM) working surface and its edges (6, 7) sealed by a plastic strip. The base is also in plastic coated chipboard, with sealed edges, and, on each side of the cabinet, are decorative panels (13, 14). Drawers (8) are moulded in one piece from expanded polystyrene (RTM), the faces of the upper drawers having a false sheet metal front (9a) fixed on and fitted with a handle (10). The bottom drawer has no handle and matches the base. Worktop, base, side panels and drawer fronts are colour matched.
