1342268 Ornamenting furniture GEORGE STRACHAN and SON Ltd 20 July 1972 [28 July 1971] 35366/71 Heading A4U [Also in Divisions B6 E1-2] A rigid plastics panel 10, vaccuum-moulded to have a uniform thickness and an ornament 11 in relief, is adhered to a drawer front D, or to a cabinet door, of the same size. The panel is preferably of polystyrene and may be formed oversize and trimmed at the edges to be flush with the edges of the drawer front or door. In modifications, the panel is curved or has a rearwardly directed flange 14 extending at least partly round the perimeter to obviate finishing, e.g. veneering, of the edges of the drawer front or door.
