Abstract

The universal logic module using sequential logic provides an output not requiring decoding, and is for use in microprograms and microprocessors allowing simultaneous execution, and removes the need for an address decoder, addressing being provided by a read-only matrix. Processing uses 'N' elementary states, 'Q' exclusive route sand 'P' output lines. The module consists of a 'data' type logic multivibrators and a control matrix having 'QN' rows and 'Q' columns, each column receiving its switching signals through an AND circuit and has 'N' supplementary rows and one supplementary column for synchronisation. A second 'read only' memory has 'QN' rows and 'n+2' columns each receiving the output from the multivibrator circuits.
