Abstract

The cardboard tray is first marked out and crimped from a sheet of cardboard. The two ends (5) are folded upwards and the side tabs (7) are folded over at right angles. The sides (3) are folded upwards. The tabs (7) are glued to the sides to strengthen the sides. The tabs (9) protrude on the centre of the ends. These tabs fit in the slots (10) of a box stacked above. The cut away portions along the sides are intended to allow proper ventilation of the fruit or vegetables, by leaving spaces between the sides of stacked trays.
