Abstract

In section the frame presents a web (1a) perpendicular to the pane with four spaced legs (1b to e) projecting normally from it to form two outer channels (4) having continuous parallel ribs () on each inner leg face. The distance between rib extremeties is slightly superior to pane (2) thickness whilst being less than the thickness of pane plus edge seal (7). Outer legs (1b and e) may be somewhat thinner than inner legs, thus acting as blade springs. Ribs (6) are rounded and the seal (7) enveloping the pane edge is of elastically deformable fluffy material, e.g. cotton line annealed aluminium.
