Abstract

The sole plate (1) has upturned flaned sides (4) converging towards the front; the boot being inserted in the wider rear opening and the tow wedged in placed at the narrower front. A bar (7), on an eccentric axis (8), fits between side cheecks (5, 6) and rotates to wedge the toe. Riveted (9) underneath on each side are C shaped channels (2) with a hole (3) in each web. These fix the bindings to the ski (14) by means of a hole (12) and using inserts (10) and a headed bolt (13) and nut (11). For touring purposes, rigid fixing is done using a bolt (24), nut (11) and inserts (10) in a second rear hole.
