Abstract

The bars are pulled tight into a bundle by slings placed around them, and equipped with an automatic locking mechanism. Locking takes place under the effect of the bundle weight, the first time it is lifted. Each sling can have a single loop at one end, by which it is handled, the self-locking effect being maintained when the bundle is set down again. The loop end can be passed through the self-locking mechanism, which is on the other end of the sling, being inserted in the mechanism from the side in the first place. The mechanism can be in the form of a pivoting eccentric, clamping the inserted rope in a groove in the lowermost position.
