Abstract
Each assembly is placed in a tubular casing, with sealed cap and inner retaining spring and a number of such tubes are placed symmetrically around the axis of an inner cylindrical shell of stainless steel Cu plated in both faces. This has a number of massive Cu blocks brazed to its wall using an alloy esp of Ag, Cd, Cu Zn, so that the wall is completely covered internally, parts of the blocks touching the tubular casing but also defining a circulation chamber for a thermal transfer fluid. The shell is surrounded first by >=1 shield and then by >=1 neutron shield.
