Abstract

A folding bicycle has a dovetail type joint (A, B), secured by a locking screw, located just above the bottom bracket so that the front portion can be easily detached from the rear. The frame has no brazed joints, and has instead tapered tubular connections locked by screws at the handlebars (5), under the saddle (9), at the bottom bracket (1), and at the rear wheel hub (15). The handle bars swing down to a folded position and are also locked in a steering position by securing screws. The rear brakes are connected at the main joint (A, B) by a coupling piece. The brakes are of a compact design.
