Abstract

A motorised bicycle which can fold in half for transport in a confined space, e.g. on a vehicle has a single hinge which swings about a vertical pivot pin (6) so that the front part including the handle bars, can swing back against the rear part, with space between teh front wheel spokes for the pedal on that side to pass through. The pivot pin (6) passes through a U shaped bracket (1) attached to the sloping tube carrying the engine, and a forked plate (5) attached to the sloping tube (4) supporting the handlebars fits between the arms of the U in the normal riding position, locked by a single through bolt (7, 8) which engages the slot between the forks of the plate (5), without requiring tools.
