Abstract

The landing system employs two antenna systems (11, 111) used to simulate respectively the movement of two mobile antennae, and receiving a fixed frequency wave transmitted by the approaching aircraft. An auxiliary antenna (10), common to the two antenna systems is also employed and is connected to a mixer (20), with the two switching circuits (12, 112) for the elements of the two antenna systems (11, 111) connected to two further mixers (22, 122), all the mixers being connected to an intermediate frequency amplifier (21, 23, 123). The reception path provided by the amplifier of the auxiliary system (10) is supplied with a different local frequency to that supplied to the paths provided by the two antenna systems.
