Abstract

A rocket or grenade (2) enclosed in a casing (1) for transport or storage is attached to the muzzle (3) of a rifle (4) by a standard bayonet type joint (5), the rear of the casing being closed by a strong partition (6) which supports a standard cartridge which can be fired electrically to eject the grenade. This firing action can be caused by firing a bullet from the rifle, which will strike an electric detonator (12) mounted on the top of the projectile casing, in line with the rifle muzzle. A plug (7) temporarily seals the casing when not ready for launching. A double projectile casing is also shown, fired by a common detonator.
