Abstract

The fram e consists of a number of flat metal plates welded together. Most of the plates are triangular and are shaped to form a structure of the form required for the motor cycle frame and to form a closed box which gives the necessary strength and rigidity. The front fork and suspension assembly is fixed to one end of the frame. The rear suspension is fixed to the other end. The engine is slung under the frame and the fuel tank is integral with the frame. The saddle may be bolted on top. Two foot rest brackets are fixed on either side of the frame.
