Abstract

A tool (70) and motor (44) are mounted translatable w.r.t. the work piece (14) supporting bench top (50). A pivotal frame (20, 22, 24) can rotate about an axis parallel to the bench top and can be locked (30) at the required angular station. A translatable carriage carried by the pivotal frame has its axis of translation parallel to the pivot axis, a pivoting arm (38) emanating from the carriage rotating about an axis normal to the pivot axis and bearing the cutting tool. The rotation of the pivotal frame varies the angle of cut and the swinging of the tool on the pivoting arm controls the depth of cut.
