Abstract
A valve of the type using 90 degrees rotation and a separate axial movement along the centre line of the sealing face is operated by pairs of non-connecting trunnions. These trunnions are rotated by roller cam levers from the main valve rotating mechanism. The valve is a full-flow valve which does not restrict the flow when the valve is open. It is useful in systems carrying low temp. or high temp. fluids in nuclear installations. Pressure on the sealing face is uniform despite large temp. changes.
