Abstract

The awning's carrier assembly comprises holders (3), adjustable and settable, a carrier (2), for an extensible hinge lever, and a roller for the canvas, and is adapted for ready variation of the slope of the awning to suit the angle of the sun position. For adjustment about the horizontal axis (20), the carrier has linkage to an adjusting drive (11, 12) which incorporates a form-closed bracket (12) to engage on the adjusting-member (11), and it is activated by an adjusting-rod (17) extending downwards with a handle. The carrier may be of square or polygonal cross-section, with a component inserted on the end of a carrier tube clamped to it. The adjusting-member may have a loop or other easily detachable coupling for connection to the adjusting-rod. This is easily operated and adjusted from the ground, with the awning held firmly in place even in strong winds.
