Abstract

The electrical apparatus is connected to one of the two conductors connecd to the current source, with a rectifier bridge (2) in front of the apparatus. A thyristor (4) is connected in parallel with the output of the rectifier bridge (2), the thyristor (4) being controlled by a switching transistor (8) also acting as an amplifier. The transistor emitter-base circuit includes a multi-layer release diode (10) for enabling a light source (12), e.g. a light emitting diode, when in its conductive state, and dependent on the value of the signal impinging on a photo diode (17).
