Abstract

Clamp comprises a band of spring steel rolled into a cylinder and having a tensioning closure clamp for joining the two free ends together. The clamp includes a Vee-shaped recess extending around its periphery in the middle of the band. In use two tubes both having radially outwardly extending flanges at their ends are joined by the Vee-shaped recess overlying the flanges and drawing them together as the clamp is tensioned. The tensioning lever of the clamp is an over centre device and thus remains operative once clamp is closed.
