Abstract

The mould is made in stainless steel, and is ultra-light. It consists of a rectangular or square box (1) with four sides which have edged flanges. There are angle iron reinforcements (2) with the flanges facing outwards at each of the corners and there are vertical sections (3) which press against the ribs (5) of the side walls preventing distortion resulting from internal pressure. The ridge of the ribs faces outwards resulting in a space between the side wall and the reinforcing section, thus facilitating cleaning. A hand grip could be provided on the long or the short sides. The angle iron reinforcements on the sides have the flanges facing outwards at 45 deg. to the side being reinforced.
