Abstract

The system has channels open around the windscreen, the area around the feet and on the face of the dashboard. The air flow to the channel openings at the rear of the vehicle is blocked to such an extent that cool fresh air is blown on the passengers from the front opening of the channel. The rear channels are throttled by about 80 deg. The air supply system has an air supply channel connected to a number of blowers and to an air conditioning plat. The air is blown through a heat exchanger and divided into separate streams and through the channels and the air flow can be throttled in each air distributor chamber by the air flow control device. A servomotor is used to actuate th rotating flap valves.
