Abstract

The metal or plastic barrel for beer, wine or similar liquids has a security seal for the bunghole, eliminating tampering, and is supplied complete with tap for fitting later. The barrel (10) has a sealed top filler and a cap and a carrying handle. In a recess (14) in the side of the base (13) is a bung (16). Removing or interfering with this breaks a security ring. The tap (17) packs into a recess in the barrel wall and, for use, is removed and screwed (18) into the threaded sleeve (15) forming the bung. This breaks the seal (16) and causes a toothed ring (21) to lock the tap in place.
