Abstract

A mechanical system with rectilinear and rotating movements is used for the transfer and positioning of parts in machine-tools or working stations, where the feeding of parts is automatic. It is basically formed by a fixed body, on top of which a head may rotate up to an angle of 270 deg. The moving unit, which has also a regulation for the rectilinear movement, has a variable length arm, at the end of which is a tool for gripping parts. Rotation is effected by a sector rotating inside a cylindrical chamber and connected to a central shaft. The shaft is raised by a lower piston unit engaging a shaft in the central shaft.
