Abstract

1483583 Rotary conveyers GLASS TUBES & COMPONENTS Ltd 21 Aug 1974 [9 Aug 1973] 37843/73 Heading B8A Apparatus for transferring articles, such as drinking glasses, between sucessive working stations, comprises a rotatable table 14 supporting a radially directed sleeve 15 in which an arm 13 is reciprocably mounted and supports a work holder 10 at its outer end. A stationary cam 21 has a guide track 22 engaged by a cam follower 23 mounted on a slide 27 movable along the sleeve 15. The slide has a pin 28 secured to the arm 13 whereby rotation of the table relative to the cam induces a radial reciprocable motion to the arm. The pin 28 also co-operates with a helical slot 29 in the sleeve to rotate the arm about its axis during its radial movement. A weight 35 attached to a cord 36 serves to bias the slide away from its end positions on the sleeve.
