Abstract

The lens comprises two similar concave or convex lenses with a fluid enclosed between the two lenses. The material constituting the lenses and the fluid are chosen such that, the propagation velocity of the acoustic waves in the flow medium in which the acoustic lens is located, at at least one side of the latter, lies between the propagation velocities of the waves through the lenses and the enclosed fluid.
