Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic wave probe which is hardly broken, by molding an acoustic lens having a curvature determined by the focus of an ultrasonic wave oscillator and propagation speed specific to the type of material of the acoustic lens incorporatedly with a guard by silicone rubber. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic wave probe main body 10 is formed with a plurality of ultrasonic wave oscillators 11. The focus of the probe main body and an acoustic lens 12 have a curvature determined by the propagation speed specific to the type of material, and a guard 12b and a convex lens 12a are formed incorporatedly with silicone rubber. The lens 12 is bonded with the probe main body 10 with adhesives. Thereafter, the ultrasonic wave probe is constituted by fixing a holding member 13. Thus, the oscillator and the acoustic lens are fixed to a specified position, allowing to prevent damages with the holding member.
