Abstract
In the process, (a) the natural oxide at the surface of the workpieces is removed, (b) the workpieces are heated to 450-880 degrees C in a vacuum chamber at 1-18-8 Torr, (c) the vacuum chamber is isolated from the vacuum creating appt and an amt. of O2 vigorously defined as a function of the surface of the workpieces is admitted into the vacuum chamber. The amt. of O2 is defined according to an increasing function of the total surface of the workpieces and is 10-3 to 2.55 mg/cm2.
