Abstract

Therapeutic compsn. comprises two separates packs ready for immediate use, one contg. citric acid, opt. sugars and aromatic cpds., the other contg. histidine and NaHCO3, opt. sugars and aromatic cpds., the contents of the two packs being dissolved in water immediately before use to give a slightly effervescent soln. for oral administration. Prod. is used for oral treatment of peptic ulcer, gastritis and hiatus hernia; it has long storage life and is also a psychostimulant. Pref. histidine component is L-histidine hydrochloride.
