Abstract

The wheel is formed by a main pressing whose inner edge is bent over to form the inner surface of the wheel ball race, with the outer surface rotating freely, and bolted to the axle support plate. The outer edge of the wheel rim is fitted with inner and outer flanges which are shaped to retain the tyre and which have turned over edges with corresponding bolt holes for fitting to the wheel rim. An elastic O-ring is placed between the turned over edges to provide a secure fitting for tubeless tyres.
