Abstract

The motor may be stopped when the mower is stationary for the purpose of removing a rear mounted grass box. The handle (3a) moves in slots in supports (18a) each side of the casing. It also has a bracket (12) which carries a rod (9), threaded for adjustment (14), the other end of which is attached (10) to the motor spee dcontrol arm (6). In use, the handle sits in the bottom of the slots n16a, 21a) and the motor (4) runs normally. When stationary, the handle is lifted to an upright position in the slots (19a, 20a) and the motor stops or slows down.
