Abstract

Electrical conductor terminal is fixed to an insulating base. The screw (5) which forces a clamping roller (4) onto the conductor (11) is arranged parallel to the conductor. There is a U shaped metallic yoke (3), the concave part of the U forming the base and fixed contact, the two branches of the U each having a slot in them perpendicular to the base. The edges of the clamping roller slide into these slots and the roller is compressed against the conductor by the screw acting on a screw compression fitting (6) which has an inclined face (63) forcing the roller sideways.
