Abstract

1462092 Electrical connector AMP Inc 10 April 1974 [18 April 1973] 15927/74 Heading H2E Wires 2 are connected to conductors 4 on a printed circuit board 6 by terminals 10. The wires 2 are pushed into the slots of the terminals by a stuffer 30 whose feet 36 slide under the flanges 24 of the block 8. Initially the stuffer 30 rests against the portion 26 and the slots 38 lie between the terminals 10 each slot receiving a wire (Fig. 2, not shown). The stuffer is moved away from the portion 26 by a screw 28 thereby forcing the wires into the slots of the terminals, the slots penetrating the insulation of the wires (Fig. 3, not shown). The terminals 10 may have two slots and the wires 2 may be replaced by a flat ribbon connector. The invention may be used to make connection to relays or switches.
