Abstract

A spiral rolling trajectory is imparted to a granular material being mixed in a mixer-crusher by the shape of the blade. The blade is S-shaped and at each end has a wedge part inclined at an angle to the base of the mixer. A conical shaped locking screw secures the blade to a driving shaft via a central boss. The head of the screw has flats cut so that it can easily be gripped. Used in vertical cylindrical mixer-crushers and produces a more regular granular product.
