Abstract

The seat includes a seat back comprising an externally sheathed foam filled frame. A seat back vertically dividing back to back seats is illustrated, comprising a rectangular longitudinal frame with sprung foam infill, thus forming an inverted diverging legged slim U in cross section. The sheath (18) envelopes this section, its free ends (17) affixing to longitudinal semi-flexible, pref. plastic strips (19), meeting at and returning vertically into the inverted U sectioned bottom frame members (15). A T sectioned jointing strip (21) with wedge shaped indented stem (20) then wedges the ends in the U section, its head (21) concealing the joint.
