Abstract

Rails (12) for curtain runners, are suspended from above by wall fixed cantilever arms and embody either straight or curved sections joined at their ends. Typically the transverse section is a hollow square with a symmetrically open base and quarter circular internal enlargements at the top corners forming continuous circular section longitudinal sockets. Short lengths of dowels are placed in the sockets of one rail section and project for about half their length. Sections are joined by forcing the projecting dowels into the corresponding sockets of an adjacent section. Short sections can be simply joined to provide complicated rail runs.
