Abstract
1,259,334. Curtain rails. W. HACHTEL. Oct. 16, 1969 [Dec. 7, 1968], No.50844/69. Heading A4B. A curtain rail 11 comprises a unitary tubular, square section body 12 provided at a pair of opposite corners 16, 17 with respective integral wings 19, 22 provided at their free edges with runner guide flanges 21, 24 having parallel opposite sides generally perpendicular to the associated wing 19 or 22. The flanges 21, 24 may be integral with the wings 19, 22 when the rail is of plastics material. Alternatively, when the body 12 is of metal, one or both flanges 21, 24 may be of plastics material and formed with an undercut groove 26 which receives a head portion 23 of a wing 22 or 19. The body 12 may be filled with a wooden or foamy plastics core. In a modification Fig. 2 (not shown) coplanar, vertical wings (28) are provided at the other two opposite corners 13, 14.
