Abstract

In a lifting system for a platform at sea or in lakes etc., particularly a platform associated with a storage vessel and designed to be supported on and able to be displaced along columns which pass through it, the platform can be locked by means of two types of spindles fitting removably in holes in slides fixed to the columns, in conjunction with fluid actuators, pref. situated on either side of each slide and supported on one hand on the platform and on the other hand on a bracket which can also be locked by a spindle, the whole assembly being adapted for lifting step by step by alternate locking and unlocking of the two types of spindle. Manoeuvring of the platform is easy and precise and there is no tendency for it to jam as it is raised on the columns.
