Abstract

An extruder head for extruding a moulding cpd. in concentric layers, whose nipple which delimits that channel for the innermost layer, and whose further orifices forming the channel walls for the remaining layers are centrable, is characterised in that the orifices are fixed and each is crossed by a radially adjustable centring ring whose length is relatively short in the direction of the channel, on the side of engagement, as compared with the length of each orifice on that side of the channel. Suitable for mfr. of e.g. multi-sheathed electrical conductors. The claimed arrangement enables cables with >=3 insulating layers to be produced, each layer being fully centrable.
