Abstract

The corner unit is used to connect the two recti-linear belt sections. Each of the belt sections with side walls consists of three endless belts with roller drivers. The objects rest on the travelling belts. The corner piece consists of two endless belts but these are guided in concentric semi circular grooves in a plastic block (8). The belt is endless and the underside rides over a jockey pulley. The corner belts are driven by the same powered rollers as the main belts. In order that the speed of the belt on the outside of the curve may be higher than the speed of the inner belts, the groove diameters on the powered rollers are different.
