Abstract

1,136,315. Roller conveyers. MANNESMANN-MEER A.G. 13 March, 1967 [16 May, 1966], No. 11630/67. Heading B8A. Rollers 5 for propelling goods supported on idler rollers 4 are normally biased upwardly, by springs 8, out of engagement with the driving run 9 of an endless belt, but upon being loaded with goods the rollers 5 are moved into engagement with the belt and are rotated thereby to transport the goods. As shown, the belt is guided by rollers 11-13, but in straight sections, conventional pulleys flanged at each side are provided. The belt may be polygonal in cross-section and may be hollow.
